Happy Birthday Lucas!

We are always traveling when it is Lucas's Birthday.  On the last night of the boat trip, we ordered him a cake and he had about 100 people singing him "Happy Birthday".  The birthday boy is a bit camera shy.

They also had a demonstration from the artist on board.  It is amazing how quickly he can paint/create a picture on paper or a glass jar.

Lily and Kate enjoying the entertainment.

River Cruise - Day 2

During the cruise, they had different presentations.  One of them was cupping which leaves a horrible bruise on your back.
The other one was acupuncture.

I think this was the 2nd gorge we went thru.  I'm getting a bit mixed up with the pictures.  Sorry!
Some various pictures while going "down the river".

This section made me feel like we were in Switzerland.
We transferred to a smaller boat that would take us to where we were going to have a boat ride on the Shennong Stream.  Our tour guides for the boat ride.

That is a coffin in there.

Jason captured some great pictures of the river and the reflections.
They are building a new highway.  What a project.

I was hoping those weren't our boats.
Ours were a bit bigger.

That is the home of one of the boatmen rowing the boat.
We were on the boat with a group from Austria.

The oarsmen could not have weighed more than 120 lbs!
The rope used if they needed to pull the boat thru the water.
Having a little race.

Another picture from the boat's photographer.  We thought it was funny how we are all looking in different directions.
We had a nice day.
